Breastfeeding in the Sanctuary:
“There is no discussion about what is “permitted.” Breastfeeding women just DO IT…with more or less modesty.” Some women use covers, others do not.
Private Nursing Locations:
Private nursing can be done in the women’s bathroom lounge, which you wouldn’t know to look for unless you walk into the bathroom.
There is no policy or information publicized about breastfeeding. (However the respondent pointed out that women are legally allowed to nurse everywhere, in Canada..)
Nursing is welcomed by this community, but finding a private place to nurse while still feeling involved.
Genera Child Friendliness:
There are changing tables in the women’s bathrooms. There is no place to park strollers or space for children’s needed supplies.
Children are “Not really welcomed in the main service at all. Nothing is child-friendly. They have some toys in the back, but they are not included in the service.” “I never felt as though it would be ok to go to the main service with my infants. Children are treated as a weird side category and not welcomed properly as part of the community in the main service, in my experience. ”
